Computer watches the 2012 US presidential debates and paints generative portraits of the future president of the United States of America, a couple of the moderator and Mitt Romney’s ear.

This project is done in Openframeworks and uses opencv and face detection to determine where the people are in the field of view. It paints the sketches using particle brushes.

I think it did a great job capturing the expressions of the dueling candidates in rough sketch form. The portraits are in chronological order from the beginning of the debate to the end.

I have no idea why the face detection seemed to like Mitt Romney’s ear. I will need to look at that before the next debate.
