Seok-Jun HA at Samsung Digital Art Gallery

Samsung had a very impressive booth at CES 2011. On the back side of their booth they had a digital art exhibit on several of their new Smart TV LED displays. The Samsung booth was in our list of the top 5 favorite booths we visited.

Several screens displayed animated 3D art that were very well executed but required 3d glasses to get the full effect. They were very cool but did not photo well.

There were two monitors with an interactive self portrait installation by Seok-Jun HA. The interactive video artwork uses shapes from Samsung’s Smart Tv Logo to generate a portrait of the person in front of the display in real time.

Above, That is me =) The star glare is from the flash on my camera.

People just snapped their portraits on their smart phones and went on their way. We saw many people using this installation, below is a woman who used it right before we we did.
